wall carvings modeled after the ruins of Chiapas.
Descending the lobby’s Royal Staircase, you will be lead outdoors to
paths of tropical gardens. Wind your way to the Temple of the Snake,
this remarkable pyramid-like structure is named after the sacred snake
worshipped by the ancient civilization; at its peak you will find the
entrance to the "serpent waterslide".
As you walk along the royal grounds of the resort, the legacy of the
ancient Mayan culture resonates. From the fallen pillars around the
"cenote" (natural sinkhole), to the replica of Mayan inscriptions on
