Passenger movement by Volaris grows 9.8 percent in November

Mexico, Dec. 7 (Notimex).- Last November, the airline Volaris transported one million 405 thousand passengers, an increase of 9.8 percent compared to the same period last year, when it was one million 280 thousand passengers.



In a statement sent to the Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV, for its acronym in Spanish), detailed that its total capacity measured in seats-mile available rose 11.3 percent, while the total demand measured in reserved passenger-miles increased 10.3 percentage points.

During November, Volaris began operating three national routes: Huatulco-Monterrey; Cozumel-Monterrey, and Monterrey-Mexicali, as well as five international routes: Chicago O'Hare-Huatulco; Chicago O'Hare-Zihuatanejo; Los Angeles-Puerto Vallarta; Guatemala City-Tijuana, and San Salvador-Tijuana.

It specified that over the 11 months of the year, Volaris transported more than 14 million 910 thousand passengers, which represented an increase of 10.2 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, having an occupancy factor of 83.9 percent.
